Being prepared for each school day
Children will need a coat appropriate for the weather, a bottle filled with water, a bag for reading books and homework. Pencil cases and other school equipment will be provided for children by school. It is important we limit what is being brought into school so things don’t get lost or damaged.
Break and lunch times
Break time is at 10:30am every day. We encourage the children to bring in a healthy snack from home.
Lunch time is at 12:10pm till 1:10pm. Children have the choice of a packed lunch from home or a school dinner.

Homework is set every Friday and consists of a Maths task and a spelling task.
Children should return homework on a Wednesday to receive their homework dojo points. IF homework isn’t submitted on this day, they will be required to complete the homework set at homework club on a Thursday.
It is also expected that children read 3 times each week which should be recorded in their reading diary. On a Thursday, this will be checked and children who have achieved this will receive 3 dojo points and will be logged. At the end of the half term, every child who has read 3 times EVERY week for that half term will be entered into a prize draw. As the children are Year 5, they are able to record their reading independently, however, a parent signature must be present at least once a week for them to be logged.
Our PE day is Monday afternoon
Children should arrive in school in their kit on these days.
Please keep an eye out on our class dojo page to find out if it should be indoor or outdoor kit from week to week.
